Grammie’s Heirloom Christmas Stockings

Some of the most cherished traditions begin with love - and a little bit of thread.

I first started handcrafting Christmas stockings in the 1980s when my children were young, and our home was full of holiday magic. Each stocking was made with care, stitched by hand, and hung with so much love. Over the years, I made them for friends and their little ones, too, never imagining where this heartfelt tradition would lead.

Fast forward to today - my children are grown, married, and building beautiful families of their own. And just like that, Grammie was back at her sewing table, creating heirloom stockings for a whole new generation of little ones to wake up to on Christmas morning.

It was my daughter, Jenny - the talented content creator behind @jennycipoletti - who always believed in this dream before I did. “Mom, you need to start selling your stockings!” she’d say. In August of 2023, she shared them on her blog, and the response was nothing short of overwhelming. What started as a labour of love for family has blossomed into my absolute favourite thing to do.

Every stocking is completely one-of-a-kind - personally designed, lovingly handmade, and meticulously cross-stitched with each child’s name. No two are ever alike, unless a family requests matching sets. I love sourcing unique, beautiful fabrics from around the world- silks and laces from France and Italy, ribbons and trims that you simply won't find anywhere else - because every detail matters when you’re creating something meant to be treasured for generations

These aren’t just stockings. They’re heirlooms, made with heart.

My desire is to create one-of-a-kind stockings for life long family traditions.
